Aaliyah - Ten years later

A tribute to Aaliyah will be aired later this month, exactly ten years after her death.The documentary special will pay tribute to the late R&B singer, who died in a plane crash in 2001 aged 22.
Artists expected to feature on the programme include Kelly Rowland, Missy Elliot, Patti Labelle and producer Timbaland, who all attended the star's funeral. The tribute, called Aaliyah: One in a Million, will air on Thursday, August 25 at 8/7 CT on BET. BET is also celebrating the singer's achievements this month, which includes 32 million album sales and 18 singles, in the build-up to the show. Missy Elliot admitted last year that she still thinks about Aaliyah "every day".
