A Zimbabwean man, Sunday Moyo has been caught having with a donkey tied to a tree in his backyard. 28-year-old Moyo, admitted in the court that his actions were bad but that he had a reasonable explanation for his lewd act.

In court, Sunday Moyo lamented:
“Your Lordship, I only came to know that I was being intimate with a donkey when I got arrested, I had hired a prostitute and paid US$20 for the service at Down Town night club and I don’t know how she then became a donkey. I think I am also a donkey. I do not know what happened when I left the bar, but I am seriously in love with the donkey“
Moyo was charged with bestiality and ordered to undergo examination by two court psychiatrists. The donkey has mostly forgotten about the incident, and is currently eating a wormy apple in Moyo’s backyard

Ifeanyi Udokwu dies!!
Ifeanyi Udokwu is dead, Ifeanyi, who was sick for a while, was rushed to the hospital when it became apparent that he was getting worse, and at the hospital he was quickly fitted with drip but then he suddenly started breathing heavily and gave up the ghost.
Prior to his death, he posted a message online pleading for N2 million urgently but he did not specify the reason for wanting help so urgently. Many friends probably thought he was joking. We guess he was pleading for money for treatment.
He may not be popular with movie viewers, but Ifeanyi is widely known inside Nollywood. He worked mostly as pm during production (meaning that he worked mostly behind the scene).
May his soul rest in peace

Innocent Nurse Bathed in Acid by frustrated HIV patient
Acid Victim
Could this be rightly described as a carry over aggression or arrant madness? This is the question on every lip begging for an answer especially the staff of Rivers State School of Health who were taken unawares Friday, October 21, 2011 in full public glare as an HIV patient bathed his counselor, and staff of the health institution, Mrs Ibuwari George in acid. The HIV patient, a youngman in his late forties (name withheld) had arrived Mrs Ibuwari George’s unit for further counseling on the effects of his drugs, having called earlier to notify her of his coming for a chat not unrelated to his perceived deteriorating condition.
Unsuspicious of any ulterior motive, Mrs George, counselor for HIV infected mothers and children willingly agreed to the request. But little did she know that the patient’s humble request was anything but holy.
Upon arrival, the patient according to Mrs George began to complain that his health was failing him, which Mrs George advised was nothing to worry about so long he kept taking his drugs, promising that his system would soon get used to the drugs. What a psychotherapy and professional advice that fell only on the deaf ears of a dying man.
Prior to this unholy visit, the patient was said to have been calling and complaining of same feeling to which the innocent nurse had counseled him to keep faith with the prescribed drugs. He had earlier been certified sick with very low blood count after a test was conducted on him which prompted his being placed on drugs for boosting etc.
And since he was placed on blood boosting drugs, he was always calling and keeping his counselor posted on the developments but on this particular call, this wicked agent of death seeking for treatment of HIV infection, rather than make do with the nurse’s usual advice and encouragement went gagger, discharging a whole tin of acid on the unsuspecting nurse who is still hospitalized and writhing in pains.
Targeting his victim, the patient was said to have waited patiently until Mrs Ibuwari Geroge came back from her lunch break and while explaining to her how he had fared so far, suddenly opened a bag he carried and brought out a tin which he instantaneously discharged on her and which turned out to be acid.
Mrs Ibuwari shattered at this point, had a hell of raw deal with her clothes and parts of body torn. Largely affected were her chest and lower parts of her breasts.
In the midst of the commotion aroused, staff and other visitors attracted to the scene descended on the blood thirsty HIV patient and would have lynched him to death but for the quick intervention of rescuers.
He was however arrested but was yet to be handed over to the police at the time of filing in this report........,,,,,
The Return of Jenifa may be pulled away from cinemas
The Return of Jenifa, was a sequel to Jenifa, the first produced work from Funke. From there on, Jenifa became the name Funke became to be called afterwards. For many, they have anticipated the release of the film, which was meant to be seen at the cinemas. The premiere of the film at Muson was very successful amid pomp and pageantry.
But confirmed information reaching us indicates that the movie might not stay longer than expected at the cinemas. The reason for this we learnt is connected with the fact that the sponsor of the film, Alhaji Akeem Olatunji Balogun, who is known in the movie marketing business as Olasco, will not benefit from the recent deal she had with Funke. .................
His movie marketing company, Olasco Films and Records Nigeria Ltd, is the marketing company for the film. Our close source reliably disclosed to us that Olasco is contemplating on taking the movie away from the cinemas.
“The movie will not stay long as expected in the cinemas, Olasco invested heavily in The Return of Jenifa, he was never thinking of taking the film to the cinemas, but Funke insisted on taking it there for premiere and consequently, showing it at the cinemas also,” our source told us.
Olasco has been the major sponsor of all Funke’s films. Jenifa part one and two, Omo Ghetto part one and two, and now The Return of Jenifa, which is a sequel to Jenifa, the film that shot Funke into a sudden limelight.
When we asked if Olasco never signed an agreement with Funke, in terms of percentage from the cinema proceeds as the marketer and sponsor of the film, our source said, “that is where the problem is, Olasco did the film for him to sell on VCD and not for cinemas market.”
“For him to recoup his spent money on the movie, he needs to pull the movie away from the cinemas and release it under his marketing outfit on VCD, this way, he can make his money back. This development is really disturbing him,” our source said further.
For now, the movie is reported to have grossed about 10million naira at the cinemas.

Undergraduate victim of acid bath cries out for help
Franca Ogbu, a 22-year-old student of Federal University of Technology, Yola, Adamawa State, used to be the cynosure of all eyes . In fact, several suitors have reportedly sought her hand in marriage, a request she often rejected politely, on the ground that she must at least, be in the university before thinking about marriage.
But when her desire of going to school was fulfilled last year, with it came an unfortunate incident that has currently crippled the life of the once beautiful girl. As you read this piece, the Benue State-born is lying critically ill at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, looking a shadow of her old self.
Franca, described as a promising child eventually had her dreams come through after she was offered admission into the Federal University of Technology, Yola, to study Economics. As she bade her parents goodbye, beaming with smiles and a mixed feeling of pains of missing her parents, she left with the little food stuffs her parents managed to get for her.
But her joy was short lived, six months into her education following an acid bath by a male student. Franca, according to the University authority, had on that fateful day, gone to class where she was reading, when all of a sudden, an incident that changed the entire course of her life happened.
Two students reportedly stormed the class. One of them was said to have walked up to the unsuspecting student who at the same time, raised up her head to see who the intruder was, only for the intruder to pour a liquid substance later discovered to be acid on her face.
Explaining, the Zonal Coordinator of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Federal University of Technology, Yola branch, Dr Usman Abubakar, alleged that one Chibuzor Bright was responsible. His action, he said, followed Franca’s objection to his several advances.
Speaking with Crime Guard, Dr Usman said, “Franca Ogbu Adima Paul, is a part I Economics student of Federal University of Technology, Yola (now Modibbo Adama University of Technology). Until the 5th of May, 2010, she was very normal. On that early morning, at about 1.15am, she was reading in the Mechanical Engineering Block of the Institution, in preparation for her examinations when suddenly, someone standing in front of her called her name and on raising her face up, she was spilled with concentrated acid. She is currently in the surgical ward of the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. The acid affected her head, face, chest, hand and mouth.”
Chibuzor , a final year Civil Engineering student, was alleged to have sponsored the dastardly act by using one Nelson who poured the acid. Already, it was learnt that the School authority has dismissed him after which he was subsequently arrested .
Franca has been lying on the hospital bed for over one year with her face disfigured, owing to her parent’s inability to get the required amount of money to carry out a plastic surgery on her. Her parents who are peasant farmers have lost hope of their first daughter returning to her normal self. Presently, their greatest worry is not just the fact that the incident has incapacitated their daughter but the painful fact that the alleged assailant is said to be walking the streets freely. For Franca to get back on her feet and carry on with her education, she needs the sum of N12 million for the surgery. So far, the Bauchi zone of ASUU comprising eight Universities in the North-Eastern Nigeria, as gathered, launched a campaign to raise the needed money to save Franca, with an account opened at the Fidelity Bank UNIMAID Branch. The account number is 6051446636 and the project account name is FRANCA TREATMENT.
The national body of ASUU which condemned the act in its entirety had, during one of its meetings in Ibadan , Oyo state, described the act as ‘a brutal act typically, man’s inhumanity to a fellow human being’”, calling on all well -meaning and sympathetic Nigerians, philanthropists and Civil Society Organizations, to contribute generously towards getting Franca back on her feet.
The hospital, as reliably gathered, had carried about 11 surgical operations on Franca for free. But she reportedly has 13 more operations to go, a financial burden too heavy for the parents to bear.
They therefore called on well meaning Nigerians to come to their rescue............

I have refrained from participating in the drug scandal saga that unfolded in the past two weeks, involving a fellow actor who has brought joy to many homes through his work on television, the Yoruba movie. It was with disappointment that not a few of us received the news of his arrest by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The scanner at the airport was said to have identified some substance in his stomach, and he was pulled aside for questioning and that began the waiting . He was viewed by some as being a victim of the inadequacies and incompetence of the agency that had already gone to town with the news of the capture of such a big fish and a broadcast by a reputable television station that he had excreted 16 wraps of hard drugs did not help matters at all.
Later there was a back – tracking by the NDLEA that such a statement was never released and that the actor was still under observation. Nine days later, reports of his lawyer screaming blue murder about the injustice being meted out to his client reached the public.
The lawyer allegedly had not been allowed to see his client for whatever reason and that it was against the law to do so. Also rumours of Baba Suwe’s plan to sue the agency for N1 Billion for the illegal incarceration and character assassination was greeted with thumbs up in some quarters as he was yet to excrete whatever was said to be in his stomach.
It saddened my heart as I thought of his reputation being dragged through the mud, and it brought back incidents in the past when two other actors had been caught and sent to jail for drug trafficking.
I said to myself, here we go again! I thought of the process I would go through when I want to travel out of the country but banished the thought very quickly as I would never dream of doing such grievous harm to my body.
Haba! I love myself too much indeed. To think of ingesting something that is potentially dangerous to my life, what happens if it explodes? or should the contents burst in my stomach should it not result to my instant death? is rather too grim to imagine.
So then why would people take that chance? Why put yourself in such a dangerous business; like a friend of mine would say, “ make person take im own hand spoil imself” It is not that hard to continue to work hard and be content with your lot and find ways to improve your life, be it financially or status wise.
The saga continues as he is still being held in custody and the NDLEA has gone to court after performing another scan on the actor which confirmed that yes, he does have something within, so to speak, to hold him for another 15 days! Hmmmmm.
He is said to refuse food and claimed to eat once in three days, quite a diet I must note which I would not recommend to anybody because if you do not feed your body with essential nutrients it needs, it will start to eat itself.
There are acids that are secreted in the body which digest the food that we eat and if there is no food in your stomach, it does not mean that the body stops producing the acid. So imagine the acids being let loose on some rubbery casing holding drugs, the rest is left to your imagination.
Blackberry messages are filled with photo shopped pictures of Baba Suwe seated on some kind of bowl or bucket, waiting to shit the big shit. Someone made a joke on facebook that his shit was worth big bucks, another posted on his page that he had used juju to make the drugs disappear and that was why nothing has been found yet. Condemnations and counter accusations abound and one does not know who to believe, the actor or the agency.
There was a meeting supposedly called for last week by Prince Jide Kosoko to protest the continued detention of Baba Suwe but I have not heard anymore since. There is something definitely fishy going on somewhere and everyone is eager to see how it will all play out.
My thoughts on the matter, if the NDLEA has goofed or made a mistake by going to town with the wrong information, it should do the honourable thing and release the actor. There is nothing wrong with holding your hands up to say we made a mistake. Yes, people will shout and condemn them and they will no doubt have to pay damages but when has admitting that you made a genuine mistake ever killed anyone?
For Baba Suwe, if at the end of the day, nothing is forthcoming from his insides, he should sue for damages as his reputation has been soiled and it will take a while for him to disappear from the pages of the soft sell magazines and stop being the brunt of many jokes and cartoonists. On the other hand, should he finally excrete the drugs he is suspected of ingesting, he should do the time for the crime. It is as simple as that.
What’s gonna be is gonna be, what goes up must come down, there’s nothing we can do about it. The waiting game continues. People should watch out for the next episode of the Baba Suwe saga......

Mom kept dead foetus in freezer
An angry Flats community bayed for a woman’s blood after they found a dead foetus stuffed in a freezer.
But the tragic truth was soon revealed when police arrived at the Pearl Crescent Street home in Vygieskraal, Athlone, on Wednesday afternoon.
The woman at the centre of the storm, Shireen Roykers, showed police a medical report and release papers from Groote Schuur Hospital stating she had miscarried twins last week.
And the hospital had released one of her babies and kept the other for educational purposes.
Police say Shireen told them she was Muslim and was not able to bury the foetus according to Muslim rites because she didn’t have the money.
She decided to place the foetus in her family’s freezer until she could afford a burial.
When the Daily Voice arrived at the scene, a mob of angry community residents chased after Shireen as she walked frantically between shacks clutching a plastic packet containing the foetus.
She refused to speak to the Daily Voice.
Residents shouted “murderer” and asked why she had placed a baby in a freezer.
Shireen’s niece Charmaine Abrahams, 18, reveals she was the one who contacted police after she discovered the parcel she was given was not meat but a foetus.
“My aunt was hungry and she was looking for food,” she says.
“She came to my home with my older sister. She asked me to keep the parcel in the fridge.
“But when I later opened it up, I saw it was a baby and I got such a shock because I thought it was meat.”
She then alerted police.
Charmaine explains that her aunt was desperate for taxi fare and money for a burial and stopped by their home for help.
“We didn’t know she was at Groote Schuur Hospital last week Wednesday,” she adds.
“She said afterward she is being treated for stomach cancer and during the treatment she miscarried the twins without even knowing she was pregnant.
“She needed a R10 for taxi fare to get to her other family for a R150 to bury the child.”
Meanwhile, police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Filander says police suspected no foul play after the woman produced a letter from the hospital.
“She showed police a letter that the hospital released the baby and said she didn’t have the money to bury the baby and we therefore didn’t make an arrest or suspect foul play.

The late rapper Obiajulu Kenneth Nwaozor popularly called MC Loph was buried today Friday, October 28, 2001 along with his sister Chinwe at his family’s compound in Ugwuaro, Anambra State.RIP
Sam Loco goes home
Last Friday, the ancient city of Benin, Edo State capital came alive with songs and dances as the remains of the legendary actor, Sam Loco Efe was laid to rest.
Sam Loco died two months ago, in Owerri, while on a movie set. His final burial last weekend marked the end of an era for a man who lived and touched many lives through his creativity.
Until his death, the legendary actor was one of the finest and most gifted humour merchants this country ever produced in recent times.
The actor’s funeral rites almost brought the ancient kingdom of Benin to a standstill, as it equally climaxed the week-long activities that preceded the actor’s final journey home.
From Oba Akensua II cultural centre, Benin, where Sam Loco’s body was laid-in-state for few minutes, to Baptist convention, along TV Road, Benin, where a funeral service was conducted in his honour, it was a celebration of the life and times of a man who brought laughter and joy to many homes across the globe through his creative works.
At the cultural centre, thousands of mourners, including leading politicians in Edo State, film stars and admirers paid their last respects.
Ironically, rather than grieve, over the demise of the man, the mourners celebrated not because the comedian-actor died, at a very good old age, but because of the many lives he touched while discharging his role as an actor.
Sam Loco’s body arrived the cultural centre in a convoy, around 1 pm. Expectedly, there was a pandemonious moment by the mourners who ushered their hero into the vast cultural complex.
Nollywood stars who attended the funeral rites wore tall looks. They included Segun Arinze, Paul Obazele, Nkem Owoh alias Osufia, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Chinwe Owoh, gangster actor, Hanks,Francis Duru, Ofiafulu Mbaka, who led the Enugu State chapter of AGN and many others witnessed the funeral and expressed their sorrow at the loss.
Actresses Patience Ozokwor, a.k.a Mama G, Chioma Chukwukah were also present. In addition, all the state chapters of actor’s guild were in attendance, just as older actors equally were represented.
Edo State Governor , Comrade Adams Oshiomhole paid a glowing farewell to the departed screen icon.
Oshiomhole, described Sam Loco as “a humour merchant who has the magic to bring the blood pressure of people down without the necessary medical prescription.”He disclosed that the government decision to immortalize the actor by naming a street after him.
Noting that Sam Loco is not dead, he he reminded those alive that “we should emulate the virtues and works of Uncle Sam Loco. He simply can’t be possible dead because his works will always be played back by everybody around the world.”
Speaking further, he said “actors like Sam Loco can’t die, I am here, therefore to celebrate the man who carried the spirit of the Edo man into his job.”
Comrade Oshiomhole told the children that they had every reason to be proud to have the late ace-actor as their father, adding that a Street that has been reconstructed, so that all those who will ply the road will easily remember his contribution to humanity has been named after Sam Loco.”
National President, Segun Arinze and outgoing President of Association of Movie Producers, (AMP), Paul Obazele, while paying tributes to the departed icon on behalf of the movie industry, expressed their appreciation to Governor Oshiomhole and the people of the state for the gesture.
After the tributes session at the cultural centre, the body was moved to the Baptist convention, along TV Road, Benin, for the funeral service. But the like the plethora of tributes poured on the late actor, the Secretary of the convention, Pastor Brown Isede said a man’s struggle to acquire wealth was all vanity as no one dies with his wealth. Earlier in his remark, Sam Loco’s eldest son, Bismarck Efe said his siblings had taken solace in the fact
that their father lived a peaceful life and died peacefully, adding that “we are also happy that his burial is peaceful.”

Face of father left unrecognisable by gang of robbers who stole his wedding ring
A father-of-three was beaten to a bloody pulp by a gang of as many as 15 thugs who stole his wedding ring and mobile phone.
Joseph Frederic, 38, was punched to the ground before the gang repeatedly kicked him and stamped on his head.
Mr Frederic, who was visiting from France, had attended a family friend’s birthday party near the Centaur Social Club in Langley Green, Crawley
The social club had not hosted the party, but at around 2am Mr Frederic went outside to look for his wife and was set upon by the gang in the club's car park.
After the attack the gang fled and a local resident said the gang had a taxi waiting for them.
Mr Joseph, who is French Mauritian, was taken to the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead for surgery to repair a series of facial fractures
Because of the extent of his injuries he was not allowed to fly home and instead had to return by Eurostar.
He is recovering well from the attack and is now able to speak and eat again as his horrific facial swelling begins to recede.
Mr Frederic's friend Sylvio Lynx, 57, said the attack took place around 40 minutes after his son's 18th birthday party had ended on Sunday, October 16.
'He went outside because he was looking for his wife,' said Mr Lynx.
'They took his ring, his necklace and his phone. He could not see the attackers because it was dark. He cannot describe the faces of those who did it.'

UK Based Nigerian known as One of Britain's most dangerous men, jailed for life
A Nigerian in the UK, John Onyenaychi, has been jailed for life while on licence from prison for attempted murder on two police officers .
Onyenaychi, described as one of Britain’s most dangerous men, slashed PC Paul Madden’s throat with a Stanley knife in front of terrified commuters near a bus stop.
The maniac lashed out at other officers and shouted: ‘Let me finish him off.’
PC Madden, 23, collapsed with wounds to his neck, throat and face and would have died within three minutes through blood loss.
But he was spotted by Samad Tadjkarimi, 65, a retired heart surgeon who applied pressure to his neck to keep him alive long enough to receive emergency surgery.
Mr Tadjkarimi, who was doing his Christmas shopping in the area, had retired three weeks earlier. He said: ‘It’s very humbling that my intervention perhaps contributed to the outcome of possibly saving his life – a very brave young officer.
‘It’s my duty. I’m sure anyone in my profession would do the same.’
During his rampage in Ealing, west London, Onyenaychi stabbed Police Community Support Officer Piotr Dolata twice in the head as he tried to help. Mr Dolata, 27, needed 12 stitches.
PC Madden was also attacked and another PCSO, Steven Constable, was slashed twice but escaped serious injury because the thickness of his high-visibility jacket saved him.
Onyenaychi, of Stratford, east London, was found guilty of two counts of attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm with intent, robbery and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.
Judge Peter Beaumont, the Recorder of London, gave him two life sentences and ordered him to serve a minimum of 25 years after a nine-day trial at the Old Bailey.
Outside court Detective Chief Inspector John McFarlane said: ‘He is one of the most dangerous men in Britain.’
Onyenaychi, who has committed violent offences since the age of 12, was out on licence from a two-year prison sentence for causing death by dangerous driving while high on drugs.
The attack on the three officers last December was the culmination of a six-day ‘crime spree of lethal and extreme violence’, said Brian Altman QC, prosecuting.
He told the jury that 6ft 2in Onyenaychi ‘is a highly dangerous individual who thinks nothing of carrying a knife on him, a tool of his trade, and uses it as a lethal weapon when he wishes to do so’.
Mr Altman said Onyenaychi became agitated when challenged about his ticket on a bus in Ealing.
PCSOs recognised him by a distinguishing mark under his right eye as a man wanted for a previous attack.
When PC Madden arrived, he thought Onyenaychi might be armed and tried to arrest him.
‘Without warning, the defendant ripped his hands from his pockets and moved towards the policeman,’ said Mr Altman.
After an initial attack, he pulled the officer ‘close in and, with force, cut him across the throat’. He stabbed PC Madden three or four times before colleagues were able to intervene.
Four days earlier, Onyenaychi stabbed a man five times, causing serious wounds, at a minicab office in Brentford, west London, after a failed robbery.
And two days before that, he stole a laptop computer from a man in Fulham, west London, after threatening him with a knife.

Death by hanging: Rev King's appeal suffers setback
The appeal by founder of Christian Praying Assembly, Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeuko (Rev. King), who is challenging the judgment of an Ikeja High Court, which sentenced him to death by hanging for the murder of one Ann, a female member of his church, suffered a setback, Wednesday, due to irregularities in the appeal.
At the hearing in the appeal, yesterday, it was discovered that there are two different appeals by Rev. King, one dated June 23, 2008 and another December 1, 2010 respectively.
The court also noted that the respondent’s (Lagos State Government) brief of argument, responded to the appeal filed on December 1, 2010 without seeking leave of court to do so.
Counsel to Rev. King, told the court that the appellant filed his brief of argument on June 24, 2008 against the judgment of the lower court delivered on January 11, 2007, but, the court was surprised when the Solicitor General, Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Lawal Pedro, told the court that the respondent’s brief of argument was dated April 21, 2011 and filed April 22.
Presiding Justice, Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, noted that the respondent was out of time since the appellant’s brief of argument was filed on June 24, 2008, stressing the need for the respondent to regularise his brief of argument and adjourned the matter till April 4, 2012.
Rev. King’s counsel, had told the court that sometimes in 2008, the appellate court granted leave to the appellant to amend his notice of appeal and file additional grounds within seven days, contending that the lower court on its own, raised fundamental issue in its judgment and addressed same without input of parties in the suit............
