Former Nigerian policeman,kills Indian girlfriend

 A Nigerian national was arrested from south Delhi for murdering his Myanmarese girlfriend and dumping her body in a travel bag earlier this month, Innocent Nwayo, 31, was arrested Sunday from Kotla Mubarakpur when he came to visit his friend Prince Michael, police said.
He killed his 22-year-old girlfriend May 20 and left the travel bag containing her body in his rented house in west Delhi’s Uttam Nagar. After the murder he fled to Mumbai.

‘The murder took place after the two entered into a scuffle as the victim suspected that Nwayo was attracted to a girl who came to their house along with three more friends April 28,’ a police official said.

‘The body was found in a black travel bag. When the bag was opened it contained a decomposed body of a woman found wrapped in a blanket and tied with a plastic rope,’ police said.

The victim, identified as Chong alias Cecelia, was from Myanmar and worked in a beauty parlour at Munirka. She was in a live-in relationship with the Nigerian national, the police said.

She hailed from Myanmar but was brought up in Manipur. She came to Delhi in 2005 with her husband, whom she divorced last year.

Police said after killing her the Nigerian bought a travel bag from INA market to dispose of the body.

Before coming to India, he worked in the Nigerian police force.

'Killer Cucumber' outbreak spreads

The world's biggest outbreak of a deadly form of E.coli bacteria has claimed another life as it continues to spread across Europe.

Health officials say the virus, believed to have originated from organic cucumbers imported from Spain , has killed 10 people and infected hundreds more in Germany.

The epicentre of the outbreak has been in the country's north with more than 270 people contracting the disease in recent weeks - four times the normal annual figure of about 60.

Three cases have also been reported in Britain , a further 25 in Sweden and seven in Denmark.

In Austria there have been two cases, while the Netherlands and Switzerland have each had one suspected case.

All of the cases are understood to have been linked with travel to Germany.

Experts said the outbreak of hemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS), which affects the blood, kidneys and, in severe cases, the nervous system, was the largest ever in Germany - and the biggest of its kind worldwide.

An 86-year-old woman was the latest victim of the bug after she died in the University Hospital Luebeck on Saturday.Her husband is among about 70 patients being treated for the bacteria at the northern Germany hospital, whose doctors say they expect to see 10 new cases a day in the coming weeks.

Health officials have advised people in affected areas in Europe to avoid eating cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce.

Some of these products have been removed from shop shelves.

But the Food Standards Agency has confirmed that the offending cucumbers have not been on sale at any outlets in the UK.

Hackers post fake story about Tupac still alive

Online hackers have pirated the PBS website and posted a false story claiming the rapper Tupac Shakur -- who has been dead for almost 15 years -- is alive and living in New Zealand.

The group -- called The Lulz Boat -- also posted what it said were passwords of journalists, login information for the PBS series "Frontline" and sensitive information about PBS stations.The Lulz Boat claims it was "less than impressed" after watching the network's program "WikiSecrets" and "decided to sail our Lulz Boat over the PBS servers for further... perusing."The "WikiSecrets" documentary, which aired last week on the PBS show "Frontline," talked to U.S. Army Pfc. Bradley Manning's father and close friends.Manning, a military intelligence analyst, is suspected of leaking hundreds of thousands of classified documents that ended up on the WikiLeaks website -- one of the largest leaks of classified material in U.S. history.

William and kate's Canada plan announced

Prince William and his new wife Kate will visit eight cities during their July visit to Canada, their first overseas royal tour as a married couple, The couple, officially titled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, will kick-off their visit in Ottawa before taking in Gatineau, Montreal, Quebec City, Charlottetown, Summerside, Yellowknife and Calgary.

From there, they will fly to California and spend two days in the Los Angeles area.
"The couple are very much looking forward to their first joint royal tour," a royal source said.
"Their purpose is to strengthen the very strong ties that exist between Canada and their royal family and for the duke and the duchess to get to know Canada better."
William, the son of Charles and Diana, princess of Wales, last visited Canada when he went to Vancouver aged 15 in 1998 with his father and brother Prince Harry. He was given a pop star's welcome and was mobbed by teenage girls.The brothers also toured Ontario province with their parents in 1991.
Diana died in a car crash in Paris in 1997, the year after she and Charles divorced.
As Canada is a Commonwealth realm with Queen Elizabeth II as its sovereign, the duke and duchess will visit as members of the Canadian royal family.

Sean Kingston injured in Miami crash

Beautiful Girls" singer Sean Kingston was injured when his personal watercraft slammed into a bridge in Miami, The newspaper said Kingston, 21, was intensive care after he and a female friend crashed into the Palm Island Bridge. The two were picked up by another boater after being thrown into the water after the crash, authorities told the newpaper.

"Sean Kingston is now stabilized and has moved from the trauma unit to ICU (intensive care unit)," said Joseph Carozza, Kingston's spokesman told the Herald.
"Sean's family thanks everyone for their prayers and support during this time."
The Jamaican-American singer's "Beautiful Girls" hit number one in 2007. He recently toured with pop superstar Justin Bieber, the daily said.

Blast in barracks kills 12 in Bauchi

A bomb blast rocked a popular drinking spot inside an army barracks in northern Nigeria on Sunday, killing a dozen people hours after President Goodluck Jonathan was sworn in for his first full term.

A rescue worker who asked not to be identified told Reuters his colleagues had counted 12 dead bodies and that around 25 people had been wounded by the blast. A hospital spokesman said 10 corpses had been brought in, four of them women.

The explosion hit the Mamy market in the barracks on the edge of the city of Bauchi at around 8 p.m. (1900 GMT), police commissioner Muhammed Indabawa said. He said it was not clear who was responsible and that no arrests had yet been made.
"It was a very strong and powerful explosion," said Yushua Shuaib, spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), adding members of the agency were evacuating the wounded. He declined to comment on the death toll.
Military barracks in Nigeria sometimes contain small market areas where traders are allowed to sell food, drink and other goods to both soldiers and members of the public. Mamy market is a popular evening drinking spot for Bauchi residents.
A second, smaller explosion hit a beer parlour in Zuba on the outskirts of the capital Abuja, although the cause was unknown and there were only three minor injuries, Shuaib said.
The blasts underline the challenges Jonathan faces uniting Africa's most populous nation after elections last month which, while deemed the most credible in decades, also exposed the country's religious and ethnic fault lines.
Hundreds of people were killed in northern towns last month in riots and reprisal killings after Jonathan, a Christian from the south, was declared winner of the election, beating northern Muslim and former army ruler Muhammadu Buhari.
"We will not allow anyone to exploit differences in creed or tongue to set us one against another," Jonathan said in a speech at his inauguration ceremony

15 years old Teslim Moshood,dresses as a lady to deceive Men

A 15-year-old boy, Teslim Moshood, has said he made about N3,000 daily by dressing like a lady to deceive unsuspecting men.He said, “I dress like a lady to attract sympathy from men. I always tell people, especially men, that I am stranded and I need transport fare to travel.
“Initially, I was doing that as a boy and used to realise about N1,000 per day. But when I started dressing like a lady, I realise between N1,500 and N3,000 per day.
“I have been doing this for eight months. There are men that will approach me that they want to date me. I usually collect their telephone numbers but I don’t normally call them.
“There was a time a man came to meet me at my hotel room. It was when he was romancing me that he discovered that I am a boy. He then told me that he was going to sleep with me through my anus but I declined.”Moshood, who goes about with a lady name of Oyinda Alarape, was arrested on Friday in Ibadan, by the men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Oyo State Command, who had earlier suspected his movement.
He told PUNCH METRO in Alesinloye, Ibadan, on Saturday that he devised the method so that his targets, mostly men, could assist him financially.
The teenager, who claimed to be an indigene of Iwo in Osun State, said he dropped out of school when he was in Junior Secondary School II and absconded from his home in Iwo to Ibadan.
He claimed he was lodging in a hotel located in Iwo Road, Ibadan, where he paid N1,000 per night.
Moshood confessed that he had at a time put up with some female students of the University of Ibadan on the campus and they did not know his true sex before he left.
His pictures as a lady also dotted his Facebook page.
At the time of his arrest, his hair was braided and a lady’s handbag recovered from him was full of items such as powder, lady’s sandals, toiletries and condom among others.
The state commandant of the NSCDC, Mr. Bello Paiko, told our correspondent he would invite Moshood’s father and hand his son over to him.
Paiko added that if the father was not favourably disposed to the arrangement, he would hand him over to social workers with the aim of reforming him.“But the first thing I am going to do is to take him to a barbing salon to cut that hair of his,” the NSCDC boss added.

SSII Pupil,stabbed by landlord

An SSII pupil of the Millennium Secondary School, Egbeda, Lagos, Paul Samuel, has been allegedly stabbed by his 35-year-old landlord, Olabode Ajayi. This is because he allegedly mediated in a dispute between his sister and Ajayi. The case, which is before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court, is said to have Samuel as an accused person; something the family calls an anomaly that was done by the police.
The incident, which took place at No. 20 Oloye Street, Ejigbo Road, Shasha, occurred on March 26. An elder brother to Samuel, Ebong Everbless, told CRIME DIGEST that this would not be the first time Ajayi would be involved in an incident like this.

Everbless, who makes a living as a computer operator, said he was at his work place that Saturday morning when he got a call from his sister that Samuel had been wounded, prompting him to rush back home.

“I have lived in that house for three years now and my siblings live with me. That very morning, my sister Faith was at the backyard washing some clothes when Ajayi showed up with a cutlass and started making threats. He went to the clothes line and took off all the clothes my sister had washed and threw them on the ground. When my sister started shouting, Samuel who was inside, rushed out of the house to his sister’s aid,” Everbless said.

Samuel’s action was said not to have gone down well with Ajayi who allegedly asked him if he wanted to die. Everbless said, “When Ajayi said that, Samuel turned to go back into the house only for Ajayi to hit him on the scapula with a cutlass.” Samuel was immediately rushed to the hospital by his siblings and other neighbours.

“I rushed home immediately I got the call and met Ajayi sitting outside; he did not say a word to me. I too did not talk to him and instead went to the Shasha Medical Centre, where Samuel had been taken too. It was after that I went to the Afonka Police Station Shasha to make a report,” Everbless said.

At the police station, while Everbless made his compliant, he saw Ajayi being walked in by a policeman. “I told the lady attending to me that Ajayi was the person I had come to complain about. Another brother of mine had come earlier to lodge a complaint and Ajayi was being arrested.” Unfortunately for Everbless, the police did not work as he expected. “I was shocked to see Ajayi back home some hours later and when it was obvious justice wasn’t forthcoming, I went to the Area G command Ogba to lodge another complaint.

Ajayi was rearrested, but released a week later on April 3, Everbless said.

“I was told by the IPO, one Corporal Bello handling the case not to make any more trouble with Ajayi; I should abandon any plan of taking the case to court. The case was eventually taken to court two days after I complained to the Area commander; an action that greatly offended Bello,” Everbless said. His insistence on pursing legal redress has now turned the tables against him. The matter was brought before the Ikeja family court on the 14th of April but instead of a case of assault, the Bello had filed a case of affray in court and joined Ajayi, Samuel and Faith, as accused persons.

“I was warned that I would regret my decision and Bello made good his threat. On the day of the arraignment, imagine my surprise when I looked into the court and saw Faith and Samuel crying. I was outside and did not know that my siblings were now accused persons and were to be remanded in Kirikiri until their bail conditions had been met. Before my eyes, Faith was handcuffed,” Everbless recalled. With his lawyer unavailable, Everbless despondently left the court premises. “I didn’t know what to do, I was confused. I was still on the road when the Bello called me and said I should come and pick Samuel from the Area G command. It was later I learnt that Samuel was rejected by the prison warden that accompanied the Black Maria” Everbless explained. Being under aged, Samuel was to have been taken to a remand home but when the prison warden saw his swollen arm, he immediately rejected the boy. “Then Samuel’s right arm was so swollen, he couldn’t wear a shirt. When the warden saw the wound on his shoulder, he ordered the Bello to take Samuel back,” Everbless said. Ajayi is currently said to be remanded at the Kirikiri prison.

“Samuel has suffered both physically and emotionally. He is still unable to use his right hand as a result of that assault. Although he went back to school and tried to write his second term exams soon after the incident, he has since been unable to go back because of his hand,” Everbless lamented.

On his part, Samuel could barely speak to CRIME DIGEST; it seemed all his strength was geared towards enduring the pain he lives with. His right hand hung by his side stiff in a stiff position while he bore his neck stiffly too.

A source at the Ikeja Family Court told CRIME DIGEST that a witness summons had been ordered for Bello as he did not turn up for the last hearing on May 23. “The magistrate cancelled the bail that had been set for Samuel when his lawyer presented the facts. The court has directed Samuel to receive medical attention from LASUTH. The case has been adjourned to June 27 and the matter referred to the Directorate for Public Prosecution,” the source said.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Samuel Jinadu, however said the story brought before the police was a case of affray. “Samuel and Ajayi were both charged with affray; both parties were involved in a fight,” Jinadu said.

At the party, SS reliably gathered that numerous fans of Basket mouth swooped down on him like bees to honey, to have a photograph session. The happy fans got the surprise of their lives, when 'Basketmouth' in commando like resisted any form of association with the yelling fans. It was at this point that one popular Abuja based DJ walked up to Basketmouth to register his displeasure with the way the Glo Ambassador treated his fans and before one could understand what transpired between Basketmouth and the DJ, Basketmouth's heavy slap was alleged to have landed on the guy's face! It took the intervention of AY, the organiser, to calm down the angry fans, who were on the verge of tearing Basketmouth into pieces.

While some close aides of Basketmouth blamed his aggression on the swear words used by the slapped DJ, many people believe that Basketmouth would have handled the situation maturely and not stoop so low to have publicly slapped a fan not to even talk of a colleague in showbiz. One begins to wonder what would happen to Basketmouth if he does that to a Lagos based DJ or to a no-nonsense fan in Lagos.

Lawyer Killed 4 Days after wedding

The man whose name is  Ighoyefe Oyubu allegedly went out for a drink with friends but opted to go back home when it was getting late.Reports have it that about 11pm some armed men broke into his home and shot him without taking anything.Upon graduation from Igbenedion university and law school, he proceeded to the UK for his masters.The dude who was just 28yrs old left behind his 5 month old pregnant wife.May his Soul rest in peace.SAD

German policewoman shot and killed a Nigerian(Benin) woman

According to the Bild News paper, (Mrs.Christy Schnudeck nee Omorodion, (39), was shot in her stomach at a close range by a German police woman at the job centre in Frankfurt. She collapsed and died afterward at the hospital. The bitter news spread like wild fire with shock and disbelief across African communities in the Diaspora.

According to the one sided report, the reason of the bloody drama was apparently a dispute over government support money (about 300 -600euros) between the late woman and the staff of the Job Centre. The woman wanted her support money in bar rather than the normal Bank transfer payment. The problem escalated when she was told that, it won`t be possible to pay her in bar.  The in-house security service alarmed the police at about 9am on the 19th of March 2011: "That a customer would not leave after a dispute with the staff at the Job Center and that she is rioting and disrupting the office operation. " A police spokesman said.
Upon the two police officers (woman and man) arrival at the scene, they asked the woman for her passport for the normal control which is obligatory in Germany. According to the unconfirmed report, instead of the ID card, she pulled up an eleven inch long knife blade from her pocket - and stabbed the police woman on her thigh. "Beware, she has a knife." The police alerted her partner. 
Like in Nollywood films, the same officer grabbed her weapon (Pistol) and fire at her in the stomach. The 39 years old Nigerian – who relocated to Frankfurt since May 1st, 2011 from Aschaffenburg, collapsed and was confirmed dead an hour later from the injuries sustained from the gun short.
“The stabbed police woman`s condition is stable.” Said the police spoke person but no independent person has seen the police in question with bandage or otherwise
Interestingly, the incident occurred in a designated Job Centre specifically met for groups of homeless people and those with addiction problems in the care of the Rhein-Main Area. In a nutshell, that means, the Police are expected to be extra-ordinarily careful due to the kind of persons such job centers are meant for. It simply means that, this couldn`t be the first time the Police are been alerted for such incident, but probably, the first time a black person is involved.
The general question in the lips of Africans in Germany is, why on earth will she carry a knife to job centre? The answer is simple considering the area it happened. It is well documented that she had a mental problem and by law, such people are treated with respect and absolute care. In a Country where one can escape judicial punishment when alcohol is found in Peoples blood system, one could imagine what happens to people with mental illness in Germany.

Married on May 13, 1924, 105-year old Herbert, and 103-year-old Zelmyra do not pretend to know any secrets to a lasting marriage.  .  They are a sweet, aging pair that will tell you truthfully that they were married because Zelmyra “did not give [Herbert] any trouble” and Herbert “was not much to look at… [but] he was quiet and kind.”  After 86 years, they remain in the home where they raised their five children, sleep in different bedrooms and love each other all the same.

Pastor Oso - Beats Wife to Coma

Unknown to many, Pastor Gbenga Osho, the presiding pastor of the Laughter Foundation Church International is not what he claimed he is if feelers reaching us are anything to go by. It was gathered that the pastor left the Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT) years back in controversial circumstances to form his own baby factory church.
Recently, some people squealed to nigeriafilms.com that the pastor popularly known as “Baba one Million Babies” is deceiving people into believing the television commercials where he always displays nursing mothers as those who are blessed with the fruit of the wombs in his church.

Those who are in the know however claim that the miracles are nothing but fictitious and a case of the more you look the less you see; an avenue to exploit women who are in dire need to have children of their own.

The story is that those who give testimonies that they have received answer to their search for the fruit of the womb are nothing but blatant liars; as it is alleged that they are paid N10,000 by the ambitious pastor before they can come out to parade themselves and dance in front of television cameras to lure unsuspecting women to the church.

Aside this, another scheme of the General Overseer of the Laughter Foundation, according to insiders, is to always persuade those close to them to come and do thanksgiving and dedication of their new babies in his church. But unknown to them, he just wants to use them for his own selfish motive; the babies always end up on television screens as miracle babies that God produced in his church.

Another sore point in his ministry is the way and manner those who served as his assistant pastors and aides are always shown the way out of the ministry having contributed their quotas to the development of the church. This, we gathered, is a frequent occurrence to those who are familiar with the church.

It was alleged that the pastor always sacks those who started the church with him to cover his tracks very well so as to prevent them from knowing too much of his secrets. Some of the pastors that are said to have been sacked by the GO because they had known too much are Pastors Olo Taiwo, Peter and Foluso, who are pastors that followed him from GOFAMINT among others.
Apart from his lies, if the pastor turns to a boxer, he will be a match for any of the Klitchko brothers if he encounters them in the boxing ring. Recently he was said to have battered his wife Esther and turned her into punching bags. The ugly incident occurred on 28th of April, days after the Easter celebration, which he mistook for Boxing Day

Those who witnessed the one-sided fight claimed the Pastor, who lives in highbrow Magodo Estate, put his supposed call-to-serve aside to show his wife that Nigerian boxer Samuel Peter has so much to learn from him.

He was said to have locked all doors leading to the house so that nobody would disturb his caged boxing bout with his wife as he pounced on the woman and beat her mercilessly, denying neighbours the chance to rescue her from him.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has reportedly begged Maria Shriver to save their marriage.
The couple split after 25 years together earlier this month when it emerged Arnold fathered a 13 year old son with the family's former housekeeper, Mildred 'Patty' Baena, but he is desperate for "one more chance" to work things out.

Author Ian Halperin, who wrote an unauthorised biography of Arnold 'The Governator', told website Extra: "He's actually shed tears. He knows he's done wrong, and he's begging on his knees for forgiveness and one last chance. Arnold has been making calls to Maria repeatedly, asking her for one more chance."

Accident disaster in Ibadan as fuel tanker ignites fire

It was another gory day today in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, as an accident involving a petrol tanker caused many deaths and wreaked widespread destruction.

An eyewitness told Saharareporters that a fully loaded petrol tanker, with registration number XA831GRM, rammed into an electricity transformer as the driver attempted to avoid hitting a commuter bus that suddenly swerved onto the tanker’s path. “The bad condition of the federal road crash was responsible for this accident,” said the source.

As the tanker struck the transformer, sparks went off, then immediately ignited a fire that consumed everything in the vicinity.
A police source could not say the exact number of deaths, but said the victims included a nursing mother with her child, some nearby bystanders and other drivers along the road. Properties worth millions of naira were burnt and the accident caused heavy traffic around Ojo/Iwo Express Road.
The tragic event further exposed the weakness of Nigeria’s emergency and disaster management as no rescue team or fire service arrived at the scene until about an hour later. As at the time of filing this report, the fire had spread widely, with the ill-equipped fire service arriving belatedly.
Our police source agreed that today’s disaster owed to the bad road as well as the indiscipline of road users. Road signs are absent from virtually all roads in Nigeria and drivers make u-turns anywhere on the highway.

Ohakim hands over two days early,plots escape from Nigeria

Disgraced former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, today hurriedly handed power over to his successor, Rochas Okorocha, in Owerri. The impromptu ceremony took place about 2 :00 PM Nigerian time.

Ohakim later drove to the airport and arrived in Lagos, where he was sighted at the Arik Airline office in Ikeja.  He was reportedly negotiating to hire a chartered flight to escape from Nigeria before Sunday, when his immunity expires,He later drove in an unmarked Range Rover car to lodge at the Sheraton hotel in Ikeja.EFCC hurry up

Witches deploy 500 witches to Abuja for Jonathan's inauguration

Witches and Wizards Association of Nigeria (WITZAN), has deployed 500 witches to Abuja and other parts of Ahead of Nigeria to prevent any tragic occurrence and ensure peaceful inauguration on May 29.
According to its national co-ordinator, Dr Okhue Iboi, the decision was taken after an emergency meeting at Zuma rock, Niger State. WITZAN also warned President Goodluck Jonathan to take adequate security as bad  people and disgruntled politicians are planning to cause problems.

Policemen killed passenger in Lagos over......

Just 24 hours after a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and a Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) were killed by some rampaging soldiers in Lagos, the blood of some innocent Nigerians were again shed yesterday, allegedly by some policemen detailed to guard the Isheri-end of the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
For the refusal of the driver of a commercial bus to part with N100, three mobile policemen opened fire on the bus, killing and injuring some of the passengers.
Some passersby cried when they saw one of the dead victims on the ground at OPIC Bus Stop with his brains out. He was drenched in his own blood.
A woman passenger was shot in the eyes while another passenger had his hand shattered by bullets.
They were rushed to an undisclosed hospital.

Angry residents took the body of the victim with shattered head to the front of a popular building in the area, looking for the policemen who, by then, had fled.

One of the passengers, Adeseye Oladimeji, told the Nigerian Compass that the white bus with registration number, XU 163 SMK, left Ojota for Ibafo with about eight passengers before the attack. Bullet holes were seen on the body of the bus.

Said Oladimeji: “I thank God that I am alive. Look at me, I am not hurt yet blood is all over my body. It is the blood of other passengers. We boarded the bus from Ojota, heading to Ibafo. When we got to OPIC junction, we were surprised to see a check-point. The mobile policemen were three in number.
“They asked the driver to give them N100 and the driver pleaded with them that he just came out and that he would see them later. One of them asked him to go, and at a very close range, they started shooting at us. Besides this man on the ground, I can tell you that almost four persons are at the verge of death while one woman was hit by a bullet in her eyes. For another who may survive, his hand was shattered by bullets, among others.”When the Nigeria Compass called the Ogun State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Mr. Muyiwa Adejobi, he expressed shock and promised to investigate the incident. Paul Okoye of Psquare was attacked by some gunmen yesterday Wednesday May 25, 2011 on Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos on his way to see his friends in Victoria Island.

What could have been one more major catastrophe for the Nigerian entertainment industry ended up being avoided yesterday when 2 gun men attacked Paul Okoye, one of the twin brothers of the P Square musical group.
The incident took place at about six p.m. on May 25, 2011 on 3rd Mainland Bridge when the dread-carrying singer was on his way to Victoria Island to meet with some close friends.
It was that Paul, who was driving his new BMW X6 with specialised registration number Rude Boy, had stopped in order to assist some victims that were involved in an auto accident in front of him, while he was getting back into his vehicle to leave the scene, 2 gunmen approached him and demanded for all his valuables.
“I was about leaving when these two guys surfaced from nowhere and demanded for everything I had on me at gun point. They actually succeeded in taking my phones, money, jewelry and other valuables, but just as they were about collecting my car key, one woman who had noticed what was happening screamed and alerted people at the accident scene. And that was when the gunmen ran away,” Paul told P.M. NEWS this morning.
The gunmen, according to Paul, “said they were not going to beat or shoot me, but warned that I must cooperate with them. It was so funny because they said what they wanted was their own share from P Square’s ‘largesse’. But I just thank God that they didn’t hurt me.”
Few weeks back, another entertainer, Denrele Edun and his friends were attacked by robbers on their way from a musical video shooting on Victoria Island. Some of the valuables they lost to the robbers include blackberry phones, money and laptops.
Also, popular Yoruba actor, Muyiwa Ademolan was last month robbed of his Montero automobile and other valuables by armed robbers.
A few days before Muyiwa was attacked, his friend and business associate, Kazeem Afolayan, CEO of Epsalum Movies also lost his Honda Acura to armed robbers, while fast-rising Hip Hop singer, Wiz Kid, also lost his car to robbers in Lagos recently. Source: PM News

Nigerian High Commissioner to Kenya brutally injured his wife over dinner

The wife of Nigerian High Commissioner to Kenya H.E Tess Wigwe was reported to have written the police authorities to arrest her husband Dr. Chijioke Wilcox Wigwe for causing her serious bodily harm.
The very unfortunate incident was said to have occurred on May 11th 2011 after her husband got furious over her attitude of challenging his authority as the man of the house. The relationship between the couple was said to have degenerated to the extent that they do not talk to each other and only communicate by writing.

“This time, he left a note about his dinner. I told him his dinner was ready and asked him not to be asking for dinner to be prepared if he was not going to eat it. He grabbed me by the hand and when l tried to pull away, he hurled me against the wall before he started punching me,” she said.
The mother of 5 was said to sustained serious injuries as a result of the beating and had to be hospitalized.
However, when the ambassador was contacted by Nairobi based newspaper, he denied beating his wife saying: “I am shocked about her actions. They have not notified me of any plot against me. I have just arrived from a foreign trip.”
